The Udaipur IT company rape case has sent shockwaves through Rajasthan’s corporate community after police arrested the CEO of a private IT firm, a senior woman executive, and her husband for allegedly sexually assaulting a female manager.

Police detained all three accused on Wednesday and produced them before a local court, which granted four days of police custody for further investigation. The incident reportedly occurred on December 20.

Incident Linked to Office Birthday Party

According to police officials, the victim, a manager at the IT company, attended a birthday party organised by colleagues at around 9 pm. Alcohol was consumed at the gathering, and the victim was allegedly in an intoxicated state as the night progressed.

When her health began to deteriorate, the company’s CEO Jitesh Prakash Sisodia, a senior woman executive, and the executive’s husband Gaurav Sirohi offered to drop her home.

Police said it was the woman executive who took the victim in her car while the CEO and the executive’s husband accompanied them.

Alleged Assault During Car Ride

During the journey, the accused allegedly stopped the vehicle at a shop and purchased a substance resembling cigarettes. Investigators said the accused gave the substance to the victim, after which she lost consciousness.

The victim later told police that she regained awareness the next morning and realised that she had been sexually assaulted. She then approached the police and filed a formal complaint.

Following her statement, police registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated a detailed investigation.

Medical Examination and Evidence Collection

Police confirmed that the victim underwent a medical examination, and her statement was recorded before investigators. Officials said forensic and medical reports would play a key role in establishing the sequence of events.

Investigators are also examining evidence recovered from the accused’s vehicle. The car has been seized, and forensic teams are analysing it for biological and digital evidence.

Police sources said they are verifying CCTV footage from areas along the route taken by the accused on the night of the incident.

Profiles of the Accused

Jitesh Prakash Sisodia serves as the CEO of GKM IT Company, located in Shobhagpura, Udaipur. Police said he resides at Sky Marina Apartments, considered among the city’s most upscale residential complexes.

The senior woman executive and her husband, Gaurav Sirohi, are residents of Hitawala Apartments in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Investigators are probing their roles and communications before and after the alleged crime.

Court Orders Police Custody

After their arrest, police produced the three accused before a court in Udaipur. The court remanded them to four-day police custody, allowing investigators to question them further and gather additional evidence.

Police officials said they would examine phone records, party arrangements, and workplace dynamics to determine whether there were earlier warning signs or complaints.

Case Raises Workplace Safety Concerns

The incident has sparked renewed concern over workplace safety, power imbalance, and accountability in private companies. Legal experts note that crimes involving employers and employees demand careful investigation due to issues of influence and intimidation.

Women’s rights groups in Rajasthan have called for strict action and urged companies to strengthen internal safety and grievance redress mechanisms.

Investigation Continues

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and that additional charges could follow depending on forensic findings and witness statements. Officials emphasised that the law would take its course and that no individual would receive special treatment.

Authorities have also appealed to the public to avoid speculation and allow investigators to complete their work.

The case continues to draw attention as one of the most serious allegations involving senior corporate executives in Udaipur in recent years.
