Amid celebrations and public gatherings, the Madhya Pradesh Police have adopted a tough stance to ensure that the festivities remain peaceful and incident-free. This year, authorities have decided that anyone attempting to break the law in the name of celebration will face strict consequences.

Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana has issued firm instructions to all Superintendents of Police (SPs) across the state to ensure there are no security lapses. He has made it clear that the security arrangements this year will be far more stringent than in previous years.

Zero Tolerance Policy and Strict Police Directives

The DGP has ordered a statewide intensive checking drive from December 28 to January 1. During this period, police personnel will operate under a zero tolerance policy, meaning even minor violations will attract strict action.

Drunk driving will be dealt with firmly, and special teams will be deployed to conduct breathalyser tests on major roads and highways. Overspeeding and reckless driving will also be closely monitored to prevent accidents during the celebrations.

Police officials have been instructed to maintain high visibility on roads, marketplaces, and public spaces to deter troublemakers.

Close Watch on Criminal Elements

Police have prepared a list of known troublemakers and repeat offenders across the state. These individuals will remain under constant watch, and their movements will be closely tracked during the New Year period.

Authorities have warned that anyone attempting to disturb public peace will be detained in advance or face immediate legal action. Based on past incidents and intelligence inputs, police teams remain on high alert.

Under Operation Sindoor, real-time updates will be shared with police headquarters to ensure swift response to any untoward situation.

Public Advised to Celebrate Responsibly

Police officials have appealed to citizens to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with security measures. They have urged people to avoid drunk driving, follow traffic rules, and respect public order.
