Delhi Police Bust Interstate Heroin Racket, Seize Drugs Worth ₹10 Crore
Delhi Police have cracked down on an interstate drug trafficking network with the arrest of two men and the seizure of more than 2 kg of heroin valued at over ₹10 crore. The operation was carried out by the Crime Branch following specific intelligence inputs.
The arrested accused have been identified as Anshul Rana and Ganga Parshad alias Vicky, police officials confirmed on Wednesday.
Heroin Recovered During Dwarka Raid
According to police, the Crime Branch received information about a major drug delivery planned near a school in Dwarka. Acting swiftly, officers laid a trap near a sports complex in Sector 8.
Anshul Rana was apprehended at the spot. A search of his bag led to the recovery of 2.034 kilograms of heroin. The seized contraband was later assessed to be worth more than ₹10 crore in the illegal market.
Following the recovery, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and began further investigation.
Second Accused Arrested in Follow-Up Operation
During questioning, Rana revealed that he had received the heroin from Ganga Parshad. He told investigators that Parshad sourced the drugs from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.
Based on this input, the Crime Branch tracked Parshad’s movements and arrested him from Laxmi Nagar in east Delhi in a separate operation.
Police said Parshad played a key role in procuring heroin in bulk and supplying it to dealers operating across Delhi-NCR.
Syndicate Spread Across Delhi-NCR
Investigators revealed that the drug syndicate functioned through a well-organised supply chain. Parshad allegedly brought heroin from Uttar Pradesh, while Rana handled local distribution in the capital by supplying smaller quantities to street-level peddlers.

The network is suspected to have links beyond Delhi, and police are now working to identify other members involved in the racket.
Vehicles and Phones Seized
Apart from the heroin, police also seized a scooter allegedly used to transport the contraband. Six mobile phones were recovered from the accused, which investigators believe were used to coordinate drug transactions and communicate with suppliers and buyers.
Police records show that Parshad has a criminal background and was previously booked under the NDPS Act in 2019 by the Special Cell.
Officials said further investigation is underway to trace the full supply chain and uncover additional links in the interstate drug network.
