Bangladesh Government Condemns Killing of Factory Worker Dipu Chandra Das
The Bangladesh interim government has strongly condemned the killing of factory worker Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh district. It described the incident as deeply shocking and expressed profound sorrow over the loss of life.
The Office of the Chief Adviser said such violence has no place in Bangladeshi society. It extended condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of justice and full government support.
Education Adviser Visits Family in Mymensingh
Education Adviser Professor CR Abrar visited the family of Dipu Chandra Das on behalf of the Interim Government. He met Dipu’s father, Rabilal Das, and other family members in Mymensingh.
During the visit, Professor Abrar conveyed condolences and reassured the family that the government stands with them. He said the killing was a heinous criminal act that cannot be justified under any circumstances.
Interim Government Assures Justice and Rule of Law
Professor Abrar said rumours, allegations, or differences in belief can never excuse violence. He stressed that no individual has the right to take the law into their own hands.
He reaffirmed the Interim Government’s firm commitment to the rule of law. He assured the family that all those involved would be held accountable through proper legal procedures.
Arrests Made, Investigation Ongoing
Law enforcement agencies have arrested 12 people in connection with the killing. Authorities said investigations are ongoing and will be pursued without exception.
The adviser said the government has directed police and other agencies to ensure a thorough probe. He added that acts of violence would be met with the full force of the law.
Government Pledges Safety for All Citizens
The Interim Government reiterated its commitment to protecting the safety and dignity of all citizens. It said equal protection will be ensured regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background.
Professor Abrar called on communities, leaders, and institutions to reject violence. He urged people to uphold restraint, mutual respect, and the rule of law.
Financial and Welfare Support for the Family
On behalf of the Office of the Chief Adviser, Professor Abrar confirmed that financial and welfare assistance would be provided to Dipu Chandra Das’s family.
He said government officials would remain in close contact with the family in the coming days. The adviser reiterated that the Interim Government is determined to ensure justice is delivered.
