In Madhya Pradesh, temperatures have dropped sharply in many regions. Several districts have recorded minimum temperatures below 5°C, making nights unusually cold.

Northern and central parts of the state remain the most affected, where chilly winds have increased discomfort for residents.
Dense Fog Reduces Visibility in Morning Hours
Early mornings across Madhya Pradesh have witnessed dense fog, significantly reducing visibility on roads.
Commuters are facing difficulties during peak hours, especially in highways and rural areas. The fog, combined with low temperatures, has intensified the cold feel across the region.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cold conditions are expected to continue for the next two to three days.
The department has issued an alert warning of persistent cold winds and possible frost formation in some districts.
Trains get delayed
Several trains are running late due to poor visibility triggered by dense fog. Some prominent trains on the route that are facing delays include, Shatabdi Express, Punjab Mail and Karnataka Express.

Cold wave conditions may persist in northern and central Chhattisgarh for the next two days. The weather is expected to remain dry across the state, with no rainfall activity on the horizon.
Ambikapur Records Lowest Temperature
Among all monitored locations in Chhattisgarh, Ambikapur recorded the lowest temperature at 3.8°C, marking one of the coldest spots in the region.
Dense fog appeared in several pockets, adding to the cold stress.

Jagdalpur reported the highest maximum temperature at 29.0°C, while Raipur remained relatively warmer.
The capital city is likely to record a maximum temperature of around 27°C and a minimum close to 10°C.

Weather experts indicate that cold wave conditions will continue to dominate central India for the next few days. Residents are advised to take precautions, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
